Chaos: Blessing or Curse? – Guest Post by Tina Frisco

This past winter was a difficult time for me. Family issues, chronic illness, and an irrational and unpredictable government challenged me to cope on a daily basis and left me depleted. I wanted to shut the door on the chaotic energies flooding my being, but empaths do not seem to have a choice in this matter. We can, however, choose the way in which we cope. Cope! I was in coping overload and heading for a meltdown. Then I came upon the two quotes in these images, and I remembered…

We are in the storm before the calm. We are on the threshold of The Golden Age of Enlightenment, prophesied by the indigenous peoples of most cultures around the world. With renewed hope, my health began to improve.

If you find yourself tiring more easily, on an emotional roller coaster, readily distracted, searching for common words when writing or conversing, or coping with myriad other anomalies of character and being, consider that you might be treading the waters of chaos; a chaos not necessarily of your own making. But do not lose heart! We are exactly where we are supposed to be.

The Universe is cohesive, resilient, sweeping, and powerful.

As Above, So Below

  1. Thanks for your thoughts and encouragement, Tina. I’ve also been living through chaos (well, I hope to be coming out at the other end) in this case, at least some part of it of my own making (I’ve decided to move back to Barcelona after 25 years in the UK), but I had been living in a limbo for far too long, and I hope this chaos will lead to opportunities and a more stable life (well, perhaps not calm and stable in the same way as before, but I hope the change will be for the better in the long run). All the best.

    1. Welcome, Olga. I hope your move back to Barcelona brightens your path in life and opens many doors to you. Moving out of our rote way of life often brings positive change. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you a smooth transition, my friend ❤

  2. Tina, this post resonates with power, giving us the strength to believe that goodness will prevail. I felt it was an uplifting and empowering anthem against the chaos around us – ‘. Let us not lose touch with our hearts.’ Chaos can be good, shake things up but too much and you have destruction from which it can take decades to recover.

I hope you’re feeling better, Tina and the chaos around you has dismissed and your foundations secure. Thank you for your thoughtful post … one I needed to read as my days too seem a fluctuating whirlwind of the positive to feeling overwhelmed. Hugs xx ❤️

  3. Dear Tina,
Reading your words here and over on Chris’s Blog, I found myself nodding my head along with you..
Indeed those of us who are empaths wish we could turn a switch and everything would spring back into normal mode..
I so agree with you, I also found this period of time a difficult transition as you know..

Emotional Trauma however felt affects our body, I find I hold tension, and therefore tense up, which in turn causes pain.. So I so sympathise with you as you went through your latest flare up..

Also I agree, in that Chaos comes to shake things up.. Just as in our lives, We often have to hit rock bottom before we climb up and alter that which needs to be altered..

Some of my own great leaps have come from chaotic times.. Lessons we need to learn and experience.. So too the world is no different.. It too has to go through phases..

It seems it hangs onto the familiar.. Not wanting to change, so we see History keep repeating over and over.. While those who cling to control and power in the only ways they know how, by repeating the past, and challenging others as they hold their duels of words..

A wonderful post to read Tina.. And I am slowly gathering momentum back into the world of blog..
Though to be honest,, I often just feel like retreating beneath the blankets and sleeping away my day..
But the bright weather had me in the garden and there is much to be done.
So I hop on here as and when I have a moment and learn not to feel guilty for my absence or my visiting..
    I know you understand.. totally..

Take care Tina. and thank you my friend for you lovely support..
    Hugs and much love
    Sue ❤

    1. Most welcome, dear Sue, and thank you for your supportive comment. I do understand, and I support your process. I know the feeling of wanting to retreat beneath the blankets in an attempt to avoid the onslaught of overwhelming emotion. I’m so glad the weather has brightened and encouraged you to step outside. The warmth of the sun and fragrance of Mother Earth are very nourishing. You are most welcome on my blog anytime, and no worries when you must be absent. I hope we all learn to remove guilt from our vocabularies and, ultimately, our lives. Love and hugs to you, sweet friend ❤

      1. Lovely to catch your reply as it came in Tina and thank you, I am much better about the guilt trips now a days, Its the way I have been made, lol I dislike feeling I let people down.. Its something that is inbred from conditioning way back. It took me a long while to learn one little word.. 🙂 And even longer to learn to love myself.. LOL.. But I agree, The Sun does more than nourishes us, she brings us to life..
Sending huge thanks.. love and hugs x ❤

  4. Like yin and yang, chaos has its place. Thank you for the reminder that good and bad must co-exist in the universe. Everything can’t be roses and chocolate, else how would our faith be built? Deep stuff, Tina, but you wrote it smoothly and with meaning!

  5. Sweet Tina, first, thank you for your comment over at my site. It’s incredible words like yours that fill my cup and spur me on this journey. So much gratitude. Second, the Chopra quote here is so apt. I feel change in my life. I feel change where I work. I feel change all around me and it’s a bit chaotic. You see, I work Tues – Thurs “out in the world” and then work from home the rest of the time. With the meditation teaching course, I spent Fri – Mon doing a lot of meditating, writing, reflecting, and being mindful. I headed to work today on a blissful high from all that meditation. But then…the school where I work is going through great changes. My lunchtime, my blissful energy had all but been sapped and I didn’t know why. It wasn’t until later in the afternoon that I realized that all the energy of the people around me and leeched into my heart: their nervousness, irritability, and clamoring for normalcy. It would have been an otherwise normal day…but it wasn’t. I had unwittingly walked into a whorl of lower energy. Not their fault. Not mine. I was just unprepared. When I returned home, I immediately went to meditate and felt much better. I distanced myself from the emotions of the day and tried my best to be mindfully present. Coming here has reminded me to keep going with that and that seeing your love and your light has made me smile and has helped me to stay in the present. So, more gratitude for your incredible spirit. Sending you hugs sweet friend. May you always walk in the light, continue to heal, and shield yourself from the negative energies about so that you can continue to spread your light. ❤
